„Up on entering my apartment the first thing you see is a vacuum leaning at the end of the corridor, next to it cleaning supplies, street finds, folders, books and other things of little importance but enough value to not throw them away. I stand in the corridor, to my left a large section of the wall is recessed by fifteen centimetres. My flatmate put a picture in the middle, it is nicely framed by the extruding wall. Next to it are some little holes with dowels inside. I wonder if this was once a doorway connecting our and our neighbours flat. I wonder what I would find if I took down the picture and with it the piece of the wall.
In much the same way the corridor you stand in now was once split by a wall, separating the flat into two.“

A sink manipulated through a motor, altering the frequency of the dripping water, a transducer and subwoofer, setting the body of the sink in vibration, four solenoids hitting different parts of the metal structure, producing punctuated sounds. Over a span of 15 minutes the soundscape evolves from silently dripping water to heavy rattling metal. Installed for the UdK Rundgang 2023 in Room 58, of Hardenbeckstraße 33.
